How Does solar PV work?
A solar cell is most commonly a silicon based semi-conductor junction which when subject to the photons in sunlight the generates movement of electrons which is current. This energy is collected as DC current and converted through an Inverter to AC current suitable for use in your house or fed back to the ESB Networks.

Do I need Planning Permission?
You can put up to 6kw of PV on your roof without requiring any planning.

How long does it take to fit the Panels?
We usually get everything fitted in one day.

Will my electricity supply be interrupted?
For about 30 minutes while we connect your system.

Can I sell on my property with solar PV fitted?
Yes you can and this will add value to your property , the new owner will just continue to benefit for the Panels.

Does the system need cleaning and maintenance?
No the systems we install are self cleaning

What happens if my Panels stop working?
All panels come with a 25 year performance warranty so in the unlikely event that you experience problems, Solarenergyireland will be on hand to diagnose and resolve your problem. The installation comes with a 5 year workmanship warranty so you can be sure your installation will be of the highest standard.

We can also offer you a monitoring contract where we monitor your system and in the event of any of the system not performing we will replace under the warranty.

Am I helping the environment?
Yes you become your own electricity provider and you will reduce you carbon footprint and reduce carbon emissions.
